1. Policy Statement
We aim to create an inclusive workplace where individual differences and contributions are valued. 3. Responsibilities
Director (Ryan Wileman): Overall responsibility for implementation and review; ensures unbiased recruitment and management practices; promotes training and monitoring.
Employees & Subcontractors: Treat others with respect; report discriminatory behaviour or unfair treatment; support inclusion in daily work.
4. Recruitment & Employment
- Vacancies are filled on ability, experience and qualifications, using consistent selection criteria.
- Training and promotion opportunities are offered fairly to all staff.
- Reasonable adjustments are made for disabled applicants and employees.
5. Training & Awareness
Equality and diversity responsibilities are explained at induction and reinforced via refresher training appropriate to each role. Awareness is maintained through toolbox talks and reviews.
6. Service Delivery & Clients
Services are provided fairly and respectfully to all clients and the public. No individual receives less favourable treatment on protected grounds. We make reasonable adjustments where practicable to ensure accessibility.
7. Bullying & Harassment
Treemedic Ltd has zero tolerance for bullying or harassment. Allegations are investigated promptly and may result in disciplinary action.
8. Third-Party Harassment
Our team works in public spaces and on or near members of the public throughout the working day. Treemedic Ltd is committed to protecting employees and subcontractors from harassment, abuse or intimidation by third parties, including members of the public, passers-by and neighbours encountered in the course of work.
Verbal abuse, threatening behaviour and harassment directed at our staff are unacceptable. Our employees have our full support to disengage from any abusive or threatening situation, remove themselves to safety, and stop work where their safety or dignity is at risk. Staff are encouraged to report such incidents to the Director, who takes them seriously and records them. We take reasonable steps to protect our team, which may include assessing site risks, adjusting how or when work is carried out, pausing or withdrawing from a site, and involving the police where behaviour is threatening or unlawful.
9. Monitoring & Review
We monitor equality in recruitment, training and service delivery. Staff and client feedback informs improvements. This policy is reviewed annually or when legislation or business needs change.

This Equality & Diversity Policy is signed and endorsed by the Director, who ensures consistent application across the business.
