Tree Surgery Jobs in Surrey & SW London
If you’re after tree surgery jobs in Surrey, here’s what we’ve got going. We’re a small firm based in Hersham. Most of our work is in people’s gardens across Surrey and South West London. Pruning, reductions, dismantles, stump grinding, that sort of thing, with some estate and commercial work on top.
We’ve got enough work on that we need more hands. We’re not in a rush to fill it with just anyone though.
Current vacancies
Climbing Arborist
£180 to £250 a day, self-employed to start. CS30/31 and CS38/39 minimum.
Groundworker
£120 to £150 a day, self-employed to start. No experience needed, we’ll train you.
What it's like working here
You’ll know where you stand. Jade is our team leader. He runs the crew day to day and he’s the one you report to. Ryan owns the company, decides how we work, and is still out on the tools some days.
Nobody here has a big ego. There’s a lot of years and a lot of different arb work behind this team, and it’s there to be asked for. We’d far rather you asked than guessed. People back each other up, take a bit of criticism without sulking about it, and have a laugh while the work still gets done.
It’s a small team, so if something about a job isn’t working you say so and it gets sorted. But someone’s in charge on every site and we expect that to be respected.
The work is local. Surrey and South West London, so you’re home every night. No overnights, no sitting on the M25 for an hour. Most days are full ones, but if everyone cracks on and the job’s done properly, nobody’s hanging about for the sake of it.
The kit
We don’t make people fight with worn out gear. Professional saws, serviced properly, checked before they go out. If a job needs something bigger than we’ve got, we hire it in rather than making do and taking twice as long.
Jobs are planned ahead on our own app, so you know where you’re going and what you’re walking into before you get there.
Safety
We’re CHAS accredited, Lantra OPM trained and fully insured. Every day starts with a toolbox talk. Every job has a risk assessment. Nobody runs a saw without a competent second person on site.
Ryan built this company while he was still working for the London Ambulance Service, which is probably why we’re fussier about this than most. It’s also why there’s a proper trauma kit on every van and not just a tin of plasters.
Some of our work is on school sites, so you’ll need to be alright with a DBS check.
Training and where it leads
If you come in on the ground with no experience, we’ll teach you to use a chainsaw safely and show you the job properly. That bit costs you nothing but your effort.
After that, for people who stick with us and show they’re worth investing in, we’ll help you towards your tickets. How much help depends on the ticket and how long you’ve been here, so it’s a conversation rather than a promise we make on a website. Plenty of groundworkers end up climbing. That route is actually open here, not just something we say in an advert.
How we hire
Fill in the form below, or email Jade with your CV and any tickets. If it looks like a fit, Jade will give you a ring first. He runs the crew, so he’s the one who needs to be happy with you. If that goes well you’ll meet Ryan before anything’s agreed.
Both roles start self-employed, paid weekly, with PAYE available after a trial period. That suits most people in this trade to start with, and we’d rather be straight about it than spring it on you later.

Not sure which role suits you, or the timing’s wrong? Send your details anyway. We’d rather know who’s about than start from scratch next time.
