Climbing Arborist Jobs in Surrey & SW London
£180 to £250 a day, depending on experience and tickets. Full time ideally, but we’d look at part time for the right climber. Start when you’re ready.
The job
We’re after a climber for our tree surgery jobs across Surrey and South West London. Mostly domestic, in people’s gardens. Reductions, crown lifts, deadwooding, sectional dismantles, and the odd big fell.
Tight access, close targets, careful rigging. It’s the kind of work where doing it neat matters as much as doing it quick.
Jade is our team leader. He runs the crew on site and he’s who you’d report to. Ryan’s out on the tools some days too. You’re never up there without a competent second person on the ground.
What we're looking for
- CS30/31 and CS38/39 as a minimum
- Safe at height and tidy with your rigging
- Good with customers. Most of our work is in people’s homes and a lot of it comes from recommendations
- Happy to work to the team leader’s call on site
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Right to work in the UK, and alright with a DBS check for school sites
Newly qualified? Still worth applying
Hours in the tree matter less to us than attitude. If you’ve got your tickets but you’re still green, we’ll take you on. What we need is someone who asks when they’re not sure instead of pressing on and hoping, and who can take a bit of criticism for what it is.
There’s a lot of experience across this team covering every part of the job. It’s there for you to use.
What doesn’t work here is someone who already knows everything.

What a week looks like
Four or five days a week, mostly domestic gardens across Surrey and South West London, with estate and commercial work mixed in. You’ll be in the tree most days. Reductions and crown lifts through the week, dismantles and the bigger fells when they come in.
The day’s planned before anyone leaves, so you’re not working out access and rigging on the hoof. Every day starts with a toolbox talk and a look at the job. If it doesn’t look right when you get there, we change the plan rather than press on.
